We have seen a large increase in the requirement for reports on problems with cavity wall insulation in the last six months and have undertaken over fifty in that timescale.

We have seen contractors that have installed cavity wall insulation, often under a subsidised scheme, which has either been done poorly or contrary to building regulations and in some cases to properties that are totally unsuitable. This has led to problems internally with black mould and dampness.

The insulation has become wet due to either the location of the properties or the condition of the walls and wet insulation is worse than no insulation at all. Any perceived benefits have therefore not only been lost but these are causing problems to the fabric.

We have carried out a lot of research into these issues and are well placed to advise on the suitability of properties that received cavity wall insulation.

If you feel your property is suffering from issues which may be attributable to poor or incorrect installation, please contact us for further advice.

Hi Darren

I'd like to say thanks for everything and I'd recommend your company to anyone.

Good luck in the future.

Fast, Friendly and very efficient.

I needed to find a surveyor in the Plymouth area to do a Full Structural survey on a property that I am purchasing in Cornwall. After phoning around a few, I decided to use this company.
They were very helpful and friendly and by the end of the week, I had received the full report, followed up with a phone call from John Collinson, who spent time, going through every point in the report.
I am very impressed with the service that I received from this company, and would certainly use them again. I would not hesitate in recommending them to friends.

WI Hall, Newton Ferrers

We were involved last year in the recent extension and refurbishment of the WI hall in Newton Ferrers, securing planning consent and acting as contract administrators. The new hall has much improved facilities and visually is greatly enhanced.

There are essentially three types of surveys to be considered. The Building Survey (previously known as a structural survey), the Homebuyer Survey, and the Basic Valuation
